Leave fallback logic for Reports to/HOD/Approver

In the leave approval, the admin can set the approver to be either a designated person, reports to, and/or head of department (HOD). However, there will be a fallback should the approver is resigned from the company. Below is the explanation should there is any resigned approver.
 
Before we proceed with the fallback logic explanation, let's take a look at the admin setting in Swingvy. 

  • Super admin: People who belong to the ‘Admin’ group under HR Hub / Settings / Permissions
  • Module admin: People who have accessibility to certain module (leave, claims, payroll, benefits)

Leave approver

If an employee sets as reports to resigns, their subordinates will have the oldest super admin as the Reports to from the resigned date. Then, if the leave setting sets "reports to" as an approver, all pending requests will be sent to the oldest super admin for approval.

Admin will then, need to select the correct Reports to for the leave request to be sent to the new approver.
 
If the head of department (HOD) resigns, the HOD roles for that department will maintain empty. It will not be replaced with any super admin. Then, if the leave setting sets HOD as the approver, all pending requests will be sent to the HOD's report to. If the HOD's report to is also empty, the pending requests will be sent to the oldest module admin.

If the employee is set as a designated person as approver and he/she resigned, the oldest super admin will be the approver starting on the designated person's resigned date. All pending requests will be sent to the oldest super admin for approval.
