Get started with Swingvy Leave

Using Swingvy Leave is easy, but getting your leave setting up and running takes careful planning. To help your team adopting this module quickly follow these steps:
 
Step 1 - Set up company workdays & holidays
Step 2 - Set up customised leave types
Step 3 - Set up leave approver
Step 4 - Manage employees' leave request history

 
Step 1 - Set up company workdays & holidays

The workday can be set up to differ by offices based on the company's policy and practices. Setting this up will enable accurate salary calculations for the payroll feature.

Swingvy tip: 
Company holidays will be auto-generated according to your company address. However, there is an option to enable/disable each holiday and also add a new holiday. Learn more here.

 
Step 2 - Set up customised leave types

In Swingvy, the most frequently used leave types have been preset for your convenience: 

Leave type Description
Annual A period each year that an employee is allowed to be away from work
Sick A period of absence from work granted to an employee because of illness
Maternity A period of absence from work each female employee is entitled before or after the birth of her child
Paternity A period of absence from work each male employee is entitled before or after the birth of his child
Hospitalisation  A period of absence from work granted to an employee because of prolonged illness
Compassionate   A period of absence from work granted to an employee as the result of particular personal circumstances, especially the death of a close relative
Unpaid A period of absence that an employee is allowed away from work for a holiday, illness, or another special reason, but that they are not paid for

Despite preset leave types, Swingvy allows you the flexibility to customise your leave types. Learn how to customise leave like a pro here

 
Step 3 - Set up leave approver

The leave approver is able to approve or reject leave applications from employees. At Swingvy and has been set by default to the reporting manager of the employee

Swingvy tip: 
If your organisation requires more than one leave approver, you may want to enable the multi-level approval. Learn how you can do it easily in here.

 
Step 4 - Manage employees' leave request history

All employees' leave application past records are readily accessible for the admin. You may filter, edit and delete the record. To learn more, here is the guideline.

Swingvy tip: 
All approved leave data from your previous system will not be available in Swingvy. Kindly advise your employee to reapply for record purpose.
