Leave request settings
You can customise specific options for leave requests submitted by employees
Allow leave requests beyond the remaining balance
Step 1 - Go to Leave > Settings
Step 2 - Select leave type
Step 3 - Look for the "Customise leave requests" section
Step 4 - Click on "Edit"
Step 5 - Toggle on to allow leave request beyond remaining balance/Toggle off to disable the setting, which will prevent employees from requesting leave when they have insufficient balance

Note:
- Each of the leave types will require separate leave advanced settings
- When the toggle “Allow leave request beyond remaining balance” is off, employees can still proceed to apply for leave in past/future cycle even if they have insufficient balance in the current leave cycle. For example:
- Current cycle: 2024-01-01 ~ 2024-12-31
- The employee has 2 days of leave balance in the current leave cycle
- Employee requests for leave
- Leave request: 2023-12-28(Thu) ~ 2024-01-02(Tue), total of 4 days
- 2 days from past cycle
- 2 days from current cycle
- The system will reflect that the employee have 0 days entitlement for the current leave cycle
