Dear Swingvy customers,
We’re thrilled to introduce “Location” to you! We know that many of you have employees who need to move between multiple work locations, instead of always sticking to one office.
With this new structure, you'll be able to assign multiple work locations for each employees, they can choose which location they're clocking in and out at!
What’s Location?
Previously, every employee was mandatory to belong to one office.
Now, “Main location” is replacing the original “Office concept”, one employee must belong to only 1 main location, and it determines employee’s Holiday setting and leave type settings.
Besides main location, you can now assign employees into multiple Sub-locations, to give them access to clock in and out in multiple locations.

Please be aware of these changes
Workgroup is now detached from Office (Location)
Remember that previously, “workgroup” is created under each office? Now, they’re detached and is parallel to Location!
The only difference you might notice is that we have amended all of your workgroup’s name to include the original office’s name for easier identification. Feel free to change workgroup’s name to whatever you like!
Geo-fencing is moved from “Time > Workgroup setting” into “HR Hub > Location setting”
Previously if you had multiple workgroup under one office, and each workgroup has different geo-fencing setting, now, we’ve separated the original “Office” into multiple “Location” to accommodate different geo-fencing setting.
For example:
- Previously, an office “Main branch” has two workgroups, one has “geo-fencing” ON, one has “geo-fencing” OFF
- Now, this office becomes 2 locations “Main branch” and “Main branch_2”. “Main branch” has geo-fencing ON, while “Main branch_2” has geo-fencing OFF
If you think there are too many locations and you prefer to merge them, follow these steps:
- Step 1: Move people under location 2 into location 1. after moving, the relocated people will by default join “default leave accrual group” in each leave type.
- Step 2: Delete location 2
- Step 3: If some of the employees shouldn’t be joining “default leave accrual group” , follow this article’s guidance to move them to the right entitlement group: Migrate employees from entitlement group to accrual group.
We hope you enjoy this release!
